Using the paragraph below, formulate null and alternative hypothesis consistent with determining whether the mean heights are different for these two populations of students. Show your work.

In 2017 a study compared the mean heights of high school students in Finland (F) with high school students in Turkey (T). For this study, 36 students from Finland and 46 students from Turkey were chosen. Assume that the two populations are normally distributed with unknown but equal variances and that the samples are independent. The following statistics were calculated from these two samples: The sample mean height and standard deviation for the Finnish students was 178.9 cm. and 7.4 cm, respectively. The sample mean height and standard deviation for the Turkish students was 172.6 cm and 6.9 cm, respectively.
