Reflection on Personal Leadership [WLO: 1] [CLOs:1, 2, 3, 4, 5] This course began with a personal reflection on leadership in your introduction discussion. This was intended to set an awareness of your own leadership that would be reexamined in this final week of the course. Now, in this discussion you will reflect on your learning throughout the course and then revisit your post from the Week 1 Post Your Introduction discussion forum to assess how you may want to further enhance your leadership approach using the insights and strategies that you have learned in this course. Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, . Reflect on what you have learned throughout this course. . Revisit your post from the Week 1 Post Your Introduction, and review your description of your current and ideal leadership style. In your initial discussion forum post, . Share any changes you have had in your perspective on your current and ideal leadership style since the start of the course. o What would say is your current leadership approach? o Has your leadership approach changed? Has it stayed the same? . Discuss three to five specific things you have learned from taking this course. The leadership style I currently nd myself most aligned with, I would say, is Pacesetting. I would say that the pacesetting leadership style has been my style since the beginning of my work life; since I started working in retail most of my lead roles were to train staff members on completing tasks within required time frames. As my career changed, I carried this style along with me as I became a leader in my current industryr which is always GoGoGO. I felt condent in my colleagues to complete projects or tasks if I showed them how to do the work, and by being hands-on, it would ensure them that the workload to meet our organization's goals was achievable. This leadership style, however, demands more time from my already tight schedule. I would like to be more of an Authoritative leader. Having the ability to set an achievable vision for my team and letting them gure out ways to achieve the vision or goal is something I have struggled with. Mostly the "letting my team figure it out" part. How can I expect a team to achieve or reach a goal I have set if I won't show them how to reach it? I found an insightful article explaining the main elements of a pacesetting leadership environment. It highlights the positive outcomes of working in this style I can realize. "When the individual members ofthe team have the skills necessary to complete their duties, the pacesetting leader can trust them to meet their goals" (Indeed Editorial Team, 2023].The article also mentions that pacesetting leaders will inform each team member of the specics of their roles before beginning a project. This will help eliminate ambiguity or uncertainty in meeting expectations and ensure all team members are aligned at the start of a new project {Indeed Editorial Team, 2023}. After reading this article, | feel more appreciative of the leadership style I currently work in but would still like to develop skills the authoritative leadership style offers
