Hi classmates/peers,
After reading, "Make a Plan to Manage Personal Finances," by Michael Scheibach the three strategies that resonated with me most were: create a vision for your financial status, develop a plan to achieve your vision, and find a community for support.Having a strong vision for your financial status is in my opinion is the first and most important step. I believe developing a detailed vision of my goal also coincides with developing a cohesive "why", which is crucial is making decisions that match that financial goal.I believe having a plan streamlines the struggle of having discipline. By having a step by step plan on achieving my financial goals, it becomes easier to discernpotential distractions that could lead me astray. Finally, 1 believe any level of success, especially in a financial sense, requires a strong network with similar goals in mind. Finding community not only gives me access to information I may not have found otherwise, but by having a strong support system I would also be that much more motivated to achieve my goals. An important strategy or factor in being financially successful I would have included in this list would have been to build and manage personal credit. In my personal opinion, having strong credit is foremost when it comes to achieving financial freedom. A method in credit management I have used in the past is the, "snowball" method. While this is not a universal prescription to managing credit it has been extremely helpful to how I manage my own credit. This method involves paying off any open credit balances from least togreatest. please help me respone to Arthur.
