Hi,

I came up with a research question for class. does the presence of depression intensify ADHD symptoms in adults? I need to come up with an idea of how I would carry out this research if I was actually going to test this topic in the real world. My design will be correlational. My research instrument would be a series of questionnaires and surveys listing symptoms and how often they're felt on a scale of 1-4. I have thought of using the ASRS (adult self reporting scale) as well as BDI (beck depression index) and I would use a Pearson correlation coefficient. I have an idea of why I would use these things but I need to elaborate. I'm not sure how I would carry this out and that is what I need ideas on. Would I recruit participants at a university or in my town? why? How could I carry this research out? I've thought of doing this over a period of a year to see symptoms through the seasons? How would I measure my variables? What would my procedure consist of? I just need help pinpointing how to carry this study out. Any ideas are appreciated!
