Hi, I have finished my discussion post for below problem which has two parts, can you take a look?

Thanks

Part 1:

Select an article that touches on the ethical concepts you learned from this week. Include a summary of your article for discussion with your classmates in a video discussion, and answer the following question:

What ethical dilemmas did you notice in your article review for this week? Provide examples and incorporate concepts you learned from the textbook (include reference).

Part 2:

Review the Link to Learning piece on page 47 of your textbook as provided below and answer the questions that follow:

A classic utilitarian dilemma considers an out-of-control streetcar and a switch operator's array of bad choices. Watch the video on the streetcar thought experiment (https://openstax.org/l/53streetcar) and consider these questions.

How would you go about making the decision about what to do?

Is there a right or wrong answer?

What values and criteria would you use to make your decision about whom to save?

Part1

The article I chose for this week is "Is Being 'Ethical' a Duty" by Bicho from Berkley Center of Georgetown University. She states that a business needs to maximize its profits for its shareholders and try its best to create social values, welfare, and utility for its stakeholders (Bicho, 2019). She also mentioned that the regulations from the government and stakeholders are essential for a business to achieve its social responsibility (Bicho, 2019). At last, she uses Amazon's practices, such as reducing shipping emissions, creating more working opportunities, etc., as a concrete example to support the idea that ethics is a kind of responsibility for creating a common good and welfare for the society. I believe Bicho's vision is consistent with Kant's view of ethics that creating social interests and practicing business under the government's regulation is a responsibility and duty. These behaviors come from humans' intrinsic values and morals (Byars & Stanberry, 2018).

Part2

From my perspective, I will try my best to save more people and lives, so I will switch the track to make the streetcar drive in the direction with fewer people. I know this will be unfair to the people on the other side of the way because apparently, the switch operator is managing their lives and deciding who can be alive. Although I think there is no right or wrong answer, the switch operator is responsible for saving more people. Just as in the video, there are five people on one side and one on the other, and I will use the number of people I can save as an evaluation standard for my decision in such cases.
