Hi, I need help writing the Interpretive and section for a reflective journal.

For some background information it is a

- Human resources role

- The focus is on CSR and sustainability and staff development

- It needs to be linked with a theory

- I've completed the objective section which is below

Objective. While working on your placement/project, what did you do? What did you see? What did you hear? What are the key aspects of what happened?

This week I continued to find sustainable development initiatives for the weekly email. The sustainable aspects of their workplace practices include promoting the reduction of waste, reducing electricity, fighting food wastage. Previously we have covered topics such as reducing carbon emissions and single use plastic.

This is a vital initiative as even with individuals working remotely it is important for employees to practice sustainability and the main reasons include:

  • The practice of sustainability is core to XX vision, mission and goals
  • Practicing sustainability in order to create a sustainable organization
  • XXhas stakeholders which expect a certain level of behavior
  • It also highlights businesss dependence on human and natural resources, in addition to physical and financial capital. It emphasizes that economic activity must not irreparably degrade or destroy these natural and human resources.

To do this I usually research into similar companies to view what they are doing. An example is KPMG who are trying to fight food waste through a circular economy. I implement these findings, into an email which is sent to Lily to revise who will provide me with feedback or touch ups before sending off the email. The emails aim to be informative and innovative which is why I try to add DIYs, videos, pictures and colours with the hope to engage the audience when they read it. The tips are usually simple and aim to be cost effective. This is so as many people can take a part.

Ive also continued to contact charities for the clothes drive and donating masks initiative. With the research I instigated what I discovered was that The Red Charity have closed all their op shops and that they do not accept any form of donation apart from monetary. Through contacting Stanley Hospital they do not accept surgical masks as as they have very strict regulations. Lastly, the Red Cross has opened their op shops however they are still no accepting donations due to the lack of volunteers. Lastly, as my internship is coming to a close I have been working on my internship report. For this, I viewed the seminar on professional writing.

Interpretive. Has the experience made you change your thinking? What did you learn? What worked? What didnt work? Can you link it to theory?

Decisional. Has this experience changed you? Are you now more aware more understanding? Will it affect how you see things? Will you do things differently next time? Have you formed any opinions as a result? How will this affect your career past or your personal life choices
