Hi, I need some help with my capstone project proposal which is 6 weeks long have to complete. I have already submitted a proposal, but my instructor didn't approve it. I need help to fix it. I can upload the guidelines and my submission along my teacher's feedback.

Project Proposal

  • Prior to beginning the capstone project, each student must submit an initial topic proposal for approval.
  • After selecting a project topic with the preceptor, the student will prepare a 5-page written proposal detailing what is to be accomplished, and how and when it will be completed.
  • You will submit the required approval form linked here:Cohort 14 Capstone Agreement Form. Links to an external site. Your capstone instructor will reach out to your identified preceptor to confirm their role as your preceptor and make an introduction and open the lines of communication. It is the student's responsibility to facilitate responses from the preceptor if necessary. If the instructor does not hear from the preceptor at the proposal phase, the proposal cannot be approved. Your completed forms must include the contact information for your preceptor to include both their direct phone number and email address.

The components of the project proposal must include the following sections (use as sub-headings):

  1. Project Title
  2. Project Summary
  • Describe key information about the organization.
    • A brief history of the organization. Most organizations will have an 'about us' page.
    • The organization's status as either a for-profit or non-profit.
    • The mission and vision and a brief assessment of how the organizations embodies these statements.
    • Board members if appropriate and key members of organizational leadership.
    • The communities served by the organization. Make sure to mention any diverse or underserved populations.
  • Identify the key organizational issue or problem (identified by preceptor) that your project will address.
  • Briefly discuss the background of the problem. What is the history? What factors contributed to the issue or need for the identified project?
  • Briefly describe the significance of the problem relevant to healthcare administration
    • Why is this important? What are the consequences if left unresolved?
    • Who will benefit from resolving the issue and how so? Who are the stakeholders?
  1. Project Description
  • Explain the purpose and goals of the project. Identify the gap between the current problem and the desired goal.
  • Develop an action plan to complete your project and outline the methods to be used (i.e. processes/procedures you will use to solve the issue/complete the project).
  1. Project Deliverables
  • What product, service, or outcome will you produce? The final deliverable must align with the problem and purpose/goals. Examples of deliverables include, but are not limited to training materials, guides, manuals, business or marketing plans, websites, statements of work, proposals, reviews, processes/procedures, budgets, and reports. A deliverable can be used immediately by the organization that is facing the issue or problem.
  • Articulate your reason(s) for selecting the project.
  • Analyze the potential outcomes and impact of your work.
  • Be specific; ensure the promised deliverables are attainable given the time frame.
  1. Project timeline
  • Provide a specific timeline for the project, including target dates.
  • Include benchmarks and identify how you will report progress to your preceptor and instructor.

And this is my teacher's feedback on my submission.

This submission seems a bit rushed and is lacking the kind of detail that I need. So - this proposal is not approved and a resubmission is required. The deliverable does not seem realistic. How do you plan to do a strategic plan in 4-6 weeks? You also mention developing training materials but there is no detail about what this training will encompass or why it is relevant to what you are doing here. I strongly suggest that you select one or the other and be more specific on how you plan to get there. If that is truly what you are going to produce here I am going to need a lot more detail here. You certainly have the room for detail as you significantly short of the page requirements. It looks like you modified the margins so that there was double the space on the left side which increased the paper from 3 pages to 4. This is not acceptable in a masters level course. At the end of the day, I require 5 full pages in APA formatting. The idea is to prepare a comprehensive, 5 page minimum report that clearly articulates the project and the deliverable you plan to produce. This will need to be rewritten and I will need to see much more detail. I also want you to take your revision to the library and have them conduct a review prior to resubmitting for a grade. The good news is you have a good start, you need to make a decision on which direction you want to go, and you need to produce a proper APA style paper but you have the time to do that.

Please help me to fix that.
