Topic $3-$ Production management $($EN$)$

Develop an information system to register and control the production of a small job$-$

shop type company. This system should record various types of information such as the

time and end of operations, the type of operations $($setup$,$ production$),$ the quantity and

the products manufactured $($conforming and non$-$conforming$).$ It should also be

possible to register any suggestions made by operators. The production manager also

needs information on machine loads, quantities produced and other production

performance indicators. The periodicity of the information involves different time

periods.

Minimum work requirements $($EN$)$

$1.$ General Requirements $*$ Comply with what is

specified in the work. $-$ Present the user with a simple and functional interface. $-$ The

look and feel should be consistent.

$2.$ Requirements for tables $*$ Data structure in which

tables and integrity relationships are defined. $*$ Sufficient data to verify and test the

operation of the database.

$3.$ Requirements for forms $*$ Existence of a menu structure

for navigation between forms $($The main menu should be activated automatically when

opening the application$).*$ Data entries should be made through the use of forms

and$/$or subforms. $-$ Forms should be the most appropriate for the types of data $($for

example, a sale should have a form $("$parent$")$ in simple mode and a subform $("$child$")$ in

continuous mode.

$4.$ Requirements for queries $*$ Queries should be viewed through

forms. $-$ There should be queries where is possible to search for information in a given

time interval $($for example, sales of one type of item in a year, or sales between two

dates$).*$ Existence of cross$-$reference queries $*$ Existence of action query$($s$)($update$,$

add, delete$).$

$5.$ Requirements for Reports $-$ Some reports$/$sub$-$reports in preview mode

on multiple entities. $-$ There should be reports on cross$-$referenced queries. $-$ Reports

should be "called" from buttons on forms.
