Hi,

I'm trying to find the sample statistic, test statistic, and p-value for data to find if there is evidence to show that married households make more money annually single households. The mean income and standard deviation for married households is

Mean 23943.20 Standard Deviation 1697.54694

The mean income and standard deviation for single households is

Mean 18514.67 Standard Deviation 133.854754

Which formulas do I use to find each value? Also is my null and alternative hypothesis correct

Null hypotheses - There is evidence that the annual income of married households is greater than or equal to the annual income of non married households.

H0: u1 u2

Alternative hypotheses - There is no evidence to show that the annual income of married households is greater than or equal to the annual income of non married households.

HA: u1 < u2

Please explain how and not give me the answer.
