Create a distribution of 100 point-like charges on a ring in the xy plane, of radius r = 0.5 meters.
The center of the ring can be x,y=0,0. Make the charges equidistant and carrying the same charge, with a linear charge density on the ring of
?=2.5510^-5 Cm-1
In order to generate the charge coordinates in the xy plane, create a new function.
Note that the charge coordinates cannot be typed in manually.
Plot the strength of the electric field E in the xy plane in a two-dimensional plot. The pyplot.imshow function would work for this. Use the color-code that you like for the electric field E, but remember to add the color-bar at the side of the figure.
