Introduction This week you will complete one module from the PROGRESS Center and National Center on Intensive Intervention. This module is part of a series covering Special Education Law from the PROGRESS Center and National Center on Intensive Intervention. Module 1: Introduction to Special Education Law: Understanding the Sources of the Law. Upon completion, you will be able to: 1. Identify and describe the primary sources of the laws in the United States. 2. Explain the relationship between federal and state laws. 3. Understand the impact of the role and levels of the adjudicative source of the law (e.g., courts). 4. Understand how state laws may expand federal laws impacting students with disabilities.
