The midterm case study is "The Vermont Teddy Bear Company". You can find it attached.

Please answer the following three questions after reading the case several times.

Confine your answers to information presented in the case. You may do outside research, but any analysis you present must related only to the case. No cut and paste will be acceptable.

$1.$What is a Teddy Bear? What are the different possibilities? How would a customer's expectations change$/$differ depending on how he or she viewed each of these possibilities?

$2.$ For each possibility, what characteristics must the product possess? Who would be its competitors? How would it be best manufactured? How should it be sold$/$distributed$?$ What must the company invest in for its strengths? What weaknesses must it avoid?

$3.$ What error$($s$)$ does the company make when it starts its business? Why did this happen? What performance data suggested the problem? How was this corrected eventually? What changes had to be made in the company's functions for it to eventually succeed?

Try to keep your submission to $2-3$ pages at the most. Outline your answer if you want...I am not worried about paragraph structure, grammar, research citations etc. Just talk about what you read in the case. Write in the way you are most comfortable.
