He is concerned that the current system is not providing good information about product costs. He also fears that the company is not making good sales or production decisions. The company currently uses a simple job order costing system, which allocates service department costs on the direct method. For this assignment, record a video that is presented to an audience that covers the aspects and pros/cons of a new cost system that should be implemented. The audience could be your accounting department manager, the CFO of your current organization, or other audiences as approved by your instructor. In addition, provide information on the advantages of having good cost information. You will record the video using the D2L recording system called "video-note."
