material of the plate is described by an elastic modulus E=180GPa and a Poisson ratio v=0.4. The plate is assumed
to be in plane stress state. Based on the personal task code, the data of the task can be found in the following table:
Build the finite element model of the structure by using rectangular plane stress elements!
Determine the displacement of the nodes!
Calculate the reaction forces!
Determine the stress components and the HMH equivalent stresss at the centre of element 1!
Plot the deformed shape of the plate!
Plot the contour diagrams of the HMH equivalent stress and the magnitude Delta of the displacement. Determine the
maximum values of these quantities in the plate!
Check your results by using Ansys!
