We will use the following building for additional homework assignments

in determining loads to the structure. First we need the basic parameters

to work with.

Assume $500$ lbs TNT is detonated at $100$ ft normal to the front wall.

Determine:

Peak incident overpressure, Pso

Peak reflected pressure, $Pr$

Shock front velocity, $U$

Incident impulse, $i_s$

Reflected impulse, $i_r$

Time of arrival at the front wall, $t_3$

Wave length, Lw

Peak dynamic pressure, $q_{}$

Equivalent triangular incident pressure duration, $t_s$

Equivalent triangular reflected pressure duration, $t_r$

Note: Roof joists span North$-$South, which is perpendicular to shock front.
