Finite Element Analysis

Problem $1.$

Perform the finite element analysis of the following truss bridge using $1$D elements for $3$ different materials $-$ wood, steel, and aluminum. You may use preexisting materials in SolidWorks or develop your own with the appropriate Young's Modulus and Poisson's Ratio.

All trusses are of equal length with a cross section of $5c{m}^2$

For each material provide a stress and displacement contour plot, a screenshot of your model with BCs and loads, and describe which material you would pick and why. Consider the cost of material and ease of construction along with the stress and displacement data.
