How can i respond to this posting?My practicum will be located at West Coast University, located in Ontario, California. My preceptor is a family nurse practitioner teaching pharmacology courses. During this practicum experience, I aim to develop foundational teaching competencies in pharmacology by observing and collaborating with the family nurse practitioner (FNP) educator. As a nurse educator in training, this experience will enhance my potential to interpret clinical expertise into successful strategies of teaching that promote student engagement and learning. Pharmacology is a complex and essential subject in nursing curricula, requiring educators to integrate evidence-based instructional techniques with clinical relevance to ensure safe medication practices. By observing an FNP teach pharmacology, I can gain valuable insight into how real-world examples, interactive learning methods, and assessments are applied to prepare students for clinical decision-making. This practicum also supports my long-term professional goal of becoming a faculty member who contributes to high-quality nursing education.
