how can I respond to this text: Divergent thinking explores multiple ideas and solutions, and may involve more creativity, while convergent thinking tries to reach one single well-defined, effective solution. In my opinion, the most divergent emphasis of servant leadership are the Discreet or silent disciples. The Discreet may "adhere to servant leadership principles without declaring commitment publicly (Dierendonck, 2010 )." When I think about a group of people or a company that follow a certain theory or way of life, but don't want to publicly declare it, it is my assumption that they may be exploring multiple ideas, or may be practicing a combination of theories, and don't want to proclaim that they are completely committed to one concept. The most convergent emphasis is Managerialists or partially reconstructed Taylorites. Managerialists have one focus and are considered to be the "real world" (Dierendonk, 2010). It is more black and white, more cut and dry. It is effective because a servant leader holds those that he serves accountable even though he is leading them first. There is a "connection between servant leadership and attaining business results" (Dierendonk, 2010) which is the single best solution, and there are not as many options
