How did transparent commands get their name?

a$.$ You can use them transparently while in another command. Transparent commands allow you to draw things like bearings and curve deltas while in another command.

b$.$ Any curve deltas or bearings created with them are transparent.

c$.$ You can create transparent lines with them.

d$.$ You can use the commands to place points, but they are not a permanent part of the drawing.
