Question: How do I test how long it takes for a capacitor to completely charge using an MCU in C? I need to use a timer

How do I test how long it takes for a capacitor to completely charge using an MCU in C?

I need to use a timer in the IDE to time the charge, simply calculating the charge time for a known resistor will not be enough.

Please show any steps needed.
