How do you reply to a classmate about For my Organizational Change Application Paper, I chose to focus on improving how behavioral data is collected, analyzed, and applied in our high school special education program. I work in a program that serves students with emotional disturbance, and one of our biggest issues is that behavior data isn't consistently tracked or used to guide interventions. That's a problem because our students need targeted support, not just general consequences. My responses showed that while there is some support for change, overall, the organization is only moderately ready. We also have a culture that is resistant to change unless it comes directly from administration, which limits buy-in. One thing that could help increase awareness of the need for change is to show the impact it would have on students and staff. For example, last semester we had a student who escalated daily because no one noticed the pattern in their behavior logs. If we had been tracking that better, we could have stepped in earlier.
