How might one respond to this peer post?

Hello class,

Charts and graphs are often used to present statistics in newspapers, magazines, books, and various online articles. There are pros and cons to using these types of visual representations. Describe the pro and con for using a graph or chart. Then, share an example of a time when a data visualization ( like a graph or chart) changing your mind about something or gave you a deeper understanding of a topic or current event.

I am a visual person and looking at graphs would be something that would help me a lot. I would think that the cons of looking at graphs is trying to understand what exactly you are looking at and how to decipher it. Graphs can have you confused if you are not sure what you are looking at. I would think that the Pros of a graph is kind of what you see is what you get there is no in between, no if , ans, or buts about a graph. Graphs can be easy to look at and understand once you understand what you are looking at.

The one time I had to understand how we as a company knew how to distribute t-shirts for a fundraiser. I figured that our system was very unorganized due to us having to give out a couple of t-shirts every single day. I thought that it would make since to have a deadline for orders one week so that we could pass out all the T-shirts at one time. Well in looking at the graph that was produced if we did what I thought would be common since we could possibly lose out on hundreds of dollars for this particular fundraiser because we would be shutting down the ordering process entirely to early. So while we are passing out t-shirts we are also still making that fundraiser more money with more incoming orders.

Thank you
