The Austin Mindfulness Center (AMC) was founded in 2011 and has been committed to offering mindfulness-based therapy and education. The agency offers individual, couples, and child and teen therapy, aiming to help you develop a positive self-view, form connected relationships, and achieve personal goals and improve overall mental health. The center puts a focus on mindfulness because they believe the key to managing life's challenges lies in building that awareness to be more present. By mindfully engaging with our experiences, including our emotions, we can find natural resolution and manageability. This approach provides both immediate relief and lasting benefits, offering a healthier way to navigate life.

The values and policies of AMC are as follows:

AMC is a for profit agency so the primary revenue stream is from insurance and private pay. However, AMC does partner with some local agencies to help with referrals that may need more flexibility and accessible options.

The informal policies go hand in hand with many of AMC's values. These informal rules have established cultural norms within the agency such as good communication, helping others when needed, and maintaining the agency offices so they are always ready for your colleagues and clients.

As AMC is a private agency, it works to establish local partnerships to ensure it is giving back to the community. For example, each quarter, AMC will host educational events and meet ups for mental health professionals in Austin to help with continued education and finding ways AMC can support other agencies. In addition, AMC also attends various volunteer events in Austin to provide behavioral health services to community groups who made need additional assistance.
