How to create a pivot report in Oracle SQL

Set up a spool file to receive your output for submission. I would suggest c:\cs421\5thweekspool.txt

Create an unnamed procedure to print a report of the total occupancy by registration date and room

Add a subprocedure named Var2Count to display the sum even if the value is null

Use the rooms 101 through 108 as the column names for the pivot variable

Use the dynamic variable, (CHILDCNT + ADULTCNT) HEADCNT, for the aggregate SUM(HEADCNT)

Compile and run your report

Close the spool file
