How to write into a file using MATLAB? I have everything completed except for the last line for Bonus Functionality (10 pts). I don't know how to write it into a file, doesn't have to be excel

Milestone #1 (50 pts) Due at the start of Lab 5 (First Tension Lab)

1 Prompt the user to specify data structure, R or Q. Look at the testmetalR and testmetalQ csv files to see the differences.

2 Have the user input a file name and read in these files. Assign values for Force and Displacement.

3 Calculate stiffness of the force and displacement curve by finding the slope of the force/displacement curve.

4 Find the ultimate force, ultimate displacement, failure force, and failure displacement.

5 Calculate stress and strain and re-graph.

6 Calculate elastic modulus in a manner similar to step 3.

7 Find the ultimate stress, ultimate strain, failure stress, and failure strain.

For Milestone #1, you may use these below to help test your code. Note that you will have to change values for testing your lab data.

Calculating Stress For simple tension tests, assume Sigma=F/A, where the cross-sectional area of your sample is a circle with a diameter of 5mm.

Calculating Strain Similarly, strain can be calculated by Epsilon=DeltL/L. Assume your sample length is 100 mm.

*Look at the built-in function ginput() to help you find some of the values.

Milestone #2 (25 pts) Due with Lab 7 Report (Compression Lab)

1 Remove non-linear towing region from the beginning of your data set

2 Remove the region of data after failure has occurred from your testing data.

3 Use this new trimmed data set to perform the calculations shown above.

4 Find the total area underneath the stress/strain curve. This is toughness, or energy to failure.

Bonus Functionality (10 pts) 5 Create a file that contains all of the bolded and underlined values in an organized fashion.
