How would I reply to the post?

Let me just start by saying that these tests were very interesting. Getting the results from my friend was not shocking to me because the people who know me knows that Ive always been the same person since theyve met me. To be fair, I also asked my husband to take the test and let me just say, I now know how he truly feels. Ive always thought that personality was mostly based on behavior but after reading the textbook, I now see it consists of so much more. Managers and employees can grow together when they understand each others different personality traits (How Personality Affects, 2020). This will help them engage more effectively. According to the text, personality means how people affect others and how they understand and view themselves, as well as their patterns of inner and outer measurable traits and the person-situation interaction (Luthans et al., 2021,).

My friend Mahogany took the big five project personality test and her results fell in a higher percentile than my own results. My results were as follows; in open-mindedness, I was in the 84 percentile, conscientiousness, 83 percentile, extraversion, 85 percentile, agreeableness, 97 percentile and negative emotionality, 49 percentile. Mahoganys results were as follows; open-mindedness, 97 percentile, conscientiousness, 98 percentile, extraversion, 98 percentile, agreeableness, 91 percentile and negative emotionality, 40 percentile. Those results made me feel good. My husbands results on the other hand were funny to me. We have been with each other for over 12 years, so I guess he knows me a little deeper than my friend. The one result that was very consistent with all our tests was extraversion. For him, I was placed in the 98 percentile. Everyone knows that I am very outgoing, so this isnt a surprise. For open-mindedness, I was ranked in the 68 percentile. For conscientiousness, it was in the 89 percentile which was not bad. Agreeableness, 50 percentile and negative emotionality, 61 percentile. I am very happy to have a high score for conscientiousness since the textbook states that this and job correlation work hand in hand. I know I take my work seriously, so it was not surprising to score higher in that category. I can understand why I scored lower on my husbands test because he knows some personal things about me that my friend may not know or understand.

In the Human Jung Typology Test, Mahogany and I had different results. For the most part our results were not similar. My husband did not take this test. For extravert, my percentage was 9% while my friends was 72%. I must say that the questions for this test were clearer, and I knew that I would score lower in this category. Deep down I am an introvert and most times I would rather be in my own zone than being out and about with friends. My friends though, have always known me to be an extrovert. For intuitive, on Mahoganys test, I had a 3% and, on my test, I scored a 1%. For feeling, my result was 41% while Mahoganys was 16%. For judging, Mahoganys result was 38% while my result was 31%.

These results of these tests are consistent with the way my attitude and behavior is at work. For the most part I am satisfied at work, so I perform well but Im also the type who consistently want to learn more and more which is why I came back to school for my masters degree. Having such a high rating on conscientiousness and knowing its correlation to job performance seems to hold truth. I do agree with the meta-analysis that states that Individuals who are dependable, persistent, goal directed, and organized tend to be higher performers on virtually any job (Luthans et al., 2021, p 109).
