Due Date: February 16th, Via Assignments Tab on Brightspace
Think about a situation that happened at work that requires attention, action and follow up. Something that was out of ordinary and caused some interruption in your daily job. It does not need to be something too complicated; anything that requires change or reconsideration in a policy or practice or etc.
The matter could be an operational, technological, interpersonal or communication matter. It can be at group or organization level. It can only involve 2 employees or within a group or between two different departments.
The matter may be categorized as a gap that needs to be filled or concern that requires immediate attention. The presumption is that it shall get resolved through training. (If you do not have a work experience, you can think of any situation that you have been a part of it as customer that you wish you could fix it though some educational discussions or think as if you were hired as a trainer to resolve those issues).
Your assignment must:
Identify a gap or deficiency in employee and organizational performance. Explain the main situation at hand.
Identify and analyze the affected task(s), position(s) and person(s).
Provide reasons and fact based on your above analysis that the training is the answer and solution. (Not required to design and delivery).
Please note marks will be deducted for spelling and/or grammatical errors/layout/presentation and lack of clarity and flow.
Page limit: 2 pages and double spaced, double sided.
