Navigation: hyperlink text and images

o Research the effects of different colors for web page viewing. Create a 100 word text document (.txt file)for each color, using a text editor (e.g. Notepad) for the top three (3) colors from the list of colors you created on the intro.html page. In this document, you should describe the different aesthetic appeal, feelings invoked, mood setting, and any cultural meaning for the color. Also, determine if this is a warm, cold, or neutral color.

o Note: In addition to the 100 words, include an image representing the color (save a copy of this image on your USB drive).

o Then, using MLA standards, reference your works cited for both text and images (you must have at least 3 sources for each 100 word text document) - go to easybib.com or citationmachine.net for help building your citations.

o Create 3 web pages from the color text documents, one for each color you researched, including the appropriate color image and works cited on each page, and appropriately labeling the page title as well.

o Include comments < !-- comment -- > above each hyperlink < a href="location of page" > linked text or image is placed here < /a> to note the type of link and its destination when adding the following links:

o Add relative/local links to all three of these pages from your site map page. (use an unordered list, and the attribute id=mainnav )

o Create portable links from each color page using page turner images of previous-next at the top of each page and page turner text links at the bottom of each page. Page turner order: intro < - > Color 1 < - > Color 2 < - > Color 3 < - > sitemap

o Place portable, reciprocal links between intro and Site map pages using the image icons that were placed on the pages in Week 3, updating the alternate text for the images, noting that they are now links, too.

o Create a named anchor/targeted link on at least one of the color pages, and link to it from either the same page, or one of the other color pages. Make sure there is enough content or white space added to the page for the link to work properly.

o Add contextual links that use an absolute destination from your intro page color list to the appropriate color page.
