Young's Double Slit Experiment Purpose: Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to perform Young's expenment in a simulated environment in order to determine the wavelength of light. Task: Use the 2 screenshots below to record observation in the table below. You will have to make approximations from the interference fringes shown to get an estimate for delta x, the internodal distance, in the picture. These screenshots were taken from the simulation software for very specific situations of d, L, and wavelength for the set up for Young's double siit experiment. Make sure to use these screenshots to record the measurements in the table below. You can play with the simulation software to get a feel for the experiment at the following link. Try to set up the same conditions for each experiment's screenshot in the software. hitps:/f'www physicsclassroom.com/Physics-Interactives/Light-and-Coloroungs-Experimento ungs-Experiment-Interactive What to hand in: Please submit table handwritten, and handwritten sample calculations for the wavelength each of the red and green color lasers.
