Human Rights Assignment

Due:November 15

Each student will be required to research a human rights violation within Canada.All assignments must be uploaded to the Dropbox in BlackBoard within the first 15 minutes of class on the specified due date reflected in the course delivery schedule.

Any assignments not handed in on the specified date and time will be given a grace period of 24 hours from the designated due date.All assignments handed in during the 24-hour grace period will receive a late penalty of 50% of the assignment.Any assignments handed in after the 24-hour grace period will not be accepted and the student will receive a mark of zero for the late assignment.

If a student requires an extension on the assignment, they need to communicate with the professor at least 1 business day in advance of the due date.

Once an assignment has been submitted, the Professor will submit it to an Artificial Intelligence (AI) detection website.If the results indicate more than 20% of the assignment was AI generated, the student will receive a zero and a meeting with the Professor will be required.

Purpose: Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more.Unfortunately, many individuals' human rights are being violated and we as CYC's play an important role in advocating for clients whose rights are being denied.

Instructions: Students will select and research a human rights violation that is currently occurring in Canada.Students will answer each question listed using one or two paragraphs for each section as appropriate. Students can complete this assignment on their own or with a partner.No Groups!
