Question: HW 2 9 ( ii ) ( See HW - 2 0 ( ii ) ) A rigid and externally well - insulated rigid tank

HW 29(ii)(See HW-20(ii))
A rigid and externally well-insulated rigid tank of volume
1.7 m 3 initially contains air at an absolute pressure of 5 bar
and an absolute temperature of 320 K (State 1). A valve
connected to the tank is opened and air exits the tank until
the air inside the tank is at an absolute pressure of 2 bar
and an absolute temperature of 320 K (State 2). The
absolute temperature of air is maintained constant at 320 K
throughout the process by an electric resistor that is
supplied with a current of 100 A across a voltage
difference of 12 V. Assume that the pressure of air at the
exit of the valve is 1 bar.
Calculate the entropy generation during the process, in
kJ/K
