HW5/Animation FA20

Congratulations! Peach Electronics has just reviewed your initial work at the 602A and the 917AT manufacturing facility and is quite impressed with the results so far. Please address the following requests in a simulation that runs for four weeks (160 hours) using only your best model from HW4:

1) They want a model that can be run for upper level management that will update the various statistics on the screen and will show the following elements:

- Count shipped units (602A separate from 917AT)

- Total shipped units (602A + 917AT)

- Separate Income for 602A and 917AT

- Labor Cost

- Rework Cost

- Trash Cost

- Net Income

2) They want the resource pictures to change given the state of the resource (idle, busy, etc.).

3) They want images of people with machines (when applicable).

4) They want the entity pictures to show separate pictures for 602As versus 917ATs.

5) They want to show the routes and stations for Arrival, Test, Burn-in, Rework, Packaging, and Inventory (or ending Dispose module).

6) Create a failure distribution with the following parameter values: Uptime ~ Norm(mean = 85.1, std. deviation = 0.45) hours and Downtime ~ Weib(Beta = 1.3, Alpha = 2.1) hours.

NOTE: You must include routing time between stations to see the entities travel. Use 1 minute as your time duration.

Comments for you (the engineer):

• Your animation ONLY will be shown to the managers, not the yellow boxes in your original model. So it has to stand alone.
• Use pictures that relate closely to real world (you may edit pictures).
• You can combine the two rework stations into one to help simplify the animation or have two separate rework stations.
• Properly label your pictures so the audience will know what they are looking at.
• Be neat and creative with your model and ensure that it portrays your proposed design.
