t-Test for Comparing the Means of Dependent Samples

1. A criminologist wants to see if there is any difference in sentencing due to gender. She picks 12 married couple at random for the test on the assumption that they will have similar economic social and educational backgrounds. She asks them individually and independently to affix a sentence for an alleged crime she describes to them. Based on the following results, test at a 0.10 level of significance if gender plays a role in sentencing.
