We did not talk about the problems caused by out parents' drinking and we acted as if things were fine. Yet we were very rigid because we never B could bring friends into the house, and we never let outsiders know about the drinking. My older sister always took care of me if there was a C problem while my older brother locked himself in his room. Thus, we were at point A. Cohesion Disengaged Enmeshed When my parents finally went into treatment, the house was crazy in a different way for a while, since no one knew exactly how to act, but we did get Adaptability closer and we were all forced to discuss what was going on. I guess we got closer A and almost too flexible or unpredictable (point B) Now, five years later, I'm the only child left at home and my sober parents and I have a relatively close and flexible Rigid relationship.
