Question:
Hypothetically, if an employee who's an on-call employee gets an email sent to other employees stating that they need OIS training due to their current card expiring soon. The email states the days for class and says the supervisor would reach out to state the day this employee needs to go. An employee never got contacted but got contacted the day the card expired. When employees are asked what day they would be attending, the supervisor states that they aren't having training for another month, so this employee can not take on any shifts until after training. The question is, is this legal? The training date the email said was April.5&6. The supervisor contacted employee April. 27th.
