After going through this case I observed also that there was a breach of the duty of competence and professional judgement .When Fatima failed to exercise sound professional judgement by continuing to prepare and submit the joint sponsorship form despite clear warning signs that the marriage might break down. A competent RCIC should have recognized the potential immigration and ethical complications of continuing a spousal support when there were signs that the status of the marriage is not same like when the contract for his service was made.
