I am having trouble with a problem
Vectors a and b are at right angels. Determine the magnitude and direction of the resultant relative to vector A
A=33.7 and B=17.5
What I know:
R = /sqrt33.72+17.52
R=38
So I know that the resultant magnitude is 38.
Now I need to find the resultant direction..... This is the part I am getting hung up on
I know that Tan0= B/A
I know that Tan0 = 17.5/33.7
I know that Tan0 = 0.519
I DONT know how to get 0 in degrees from tan0 = 0.519.
