I am making a project of an elevator using the Finite State Machine. It should have 5 floors and a key button to stop the elevator and block the usage of the elevator. I already have the floors going from 1 - 5 without stoping unless i press the key and i know i have to put buttons on each floor so you can select which floor you want to go, but what i don't know is what can i use so i can save the floor he is in. Example: I start in floor 1, i press the 4th floor button so it should go to the 4th floor and stay there. How can i make it stop in the 4th floor and stay there until the user inputs another floor?
