I am not sure if this is a good example or not, but one of the ways that I have used TVM calculations is to decide where and how my money was being spent. This is very important to me because I had a heart attack last year and luckily, I had insurance at the time to help out with all of the medical payments. However, the aftermath is why I needed to budget and figure out where exactly my money was going. I had to see many doctors to make sure that my heart was doing ok and that my body was healing like it was supposed to, along with taking many different medications over the course of the time. This impacted how I spent my money and where I was able to spend my money considering now, I had to pay for my medication and medical bills along with all of the other bills that I already had.
