I am trying to test whether there is a significant relationship between teacher perceptions of school climate and rates of chronic absenteeism. I will be using SPSS. I have ranked climate on a scale of 1 - 4 with 1 being negative and 4 being positive. I have 4 intervals for my absenteeism data. Would these variables be ordinal or continuous? Would Spearman's Rho or ANOVA be the correct analysis function to choose?
