I am using a small dataset to look at population growth in a sample bird population over a 19 year time period. I am using R programming to do simple analyses and make plots. I need to calculate lambda values over each year transition to create a scatterplot with each of the lambda estimates per year (and eventually do a log() function to create a histogram).

Is there a straight forward package/function in R that will allow me to calculate the lambda values for all of the time transitions using only one line of code?
