I am working to complete a linear regression chart that solves for the amount of espresso beans I will need in month 7 if my advertising cost is $1,350. Using excel my equation is populating as y=54.571x+1022.3. Espresso in on the Y axis, and Advertising is on the x axis. In our text Operations Management for Leaders, it list the equation as Y=a+bx. Some of my peers found 1,255 or 1,253 pounds of espresso beans needed. my excel is saying 1404.297, can you advise which is correct?
