I believe time is a construct, a name given to witnessed events to help us explain what we see. I personally believe that time is not necessarily a designated part of the universe. It is also important to note that there two versions of time. Time in the context of day-to-day life, and time in terms of physics. There are multiple positions to take from this video given the three physicists with different views, but the view that I find most convincing is the take of Michio Kaku (who has written a few books on topics relating to this, I highly recommend reading some). His take is that the perception of time has constantly changed, first through Newton, the Eisenstein, then with the development of quantum mechanics and string theory. He states that in his professional opinion, time is viewed as an average of all possibilities and experiences within the universe and, in theory, the multiverse (which is not a proven theory). To me this makes sense for what we perceive as time to be the sum of all possible possibilities. There is no predicting the future, so it cannot be guaranteed. Many people believe in time as this linear motion, like an arrow, and it is a common belief, but to me, if it is linear, why can we not have a perception of future time? With the idea of time changing drastically over and over, is it hard to believe that we will get to a point where time again develops a new universal definition
