Once you$$ve selected a commercial, I$$d like you to critique it$.$ Again, you$$re doing this in

$$marketing terms$$ and relating it to best practices, not just your personal opinion.

Things you might include in your critique $($not all of these are required, and this list is by no

means exhaustive$)$:

$$ Who is their target market? Does the commercial $$speak$$ to them in terms of people

featured in the ad$,$ language used, context, etc.?

$$ What is the $$big idea$($creative concept$)$ and how well is it executed?

$$ Does the ad follow a $$rational$$ or $$emotional$$ format, and do you think it$$s appropriate?

$$ What is it trying to accomplish $($inform$,$ persuade, remind$)$ and is it successful?

$$ What is the format and where is the important message in the commercial?

$$ If the commercial uses a spokesperson, do you find him or her appropriate?
