I have a problem given as p(x) where p(x) is profit selling widgets. p(x) = - (x^2/200) + x -2. Instructions are to use a computer based technology to exactly solve the problem. Two solutions are produced using Tiger algebra stating x=100-40 sqrt 6 =2.02 and x=100 + 40 sqrt 6 =197.980 I don't really know how to interpret that as well as the additional instructions are to use an additional method finding decimal approx. using a different technology. Where do I start?
