Both the rate at which different events are booked at the company and the issues inside the company regarding the lack of staffing are examples of negative relationships... If bookings increase and staffing doesn't change, would that be a correlation or no correlation? Both variables must move either in the same or different directions. To be a negative relationship, bookings would have to increase and staff numbers would have to decrease. Does this seem counter intuitive?
