I have an excel data sat on time vs headcount. the time 12-2 is denoted as AN for afternoon. and the time 5-7 is denoted as EVE for evening. My Null hypothesis is that the number of students riding the bus is the same in the afternoon and the evening. My alternative hypothesis is that there are more students riding the bus in the afternoon than in the evening. The first column of time in the excel sheet in order is AN,AN,AN,AN,AN,AN, EVE,EVE,EVE,EVE,EVE,EVE. The second column of Bus headcount in corresponding order is 41,39,,60,68,60,40,60,52,52,13,18,15. I have to Use R studio to analyze this data and my questions are how to write commands to analyze it and what they mean for my Null and Alternative hypothesis. I was wondering how to do the commands for a t-test (t-stat, p value, and alpha), t-crit, standard error, mean, and a command for a good graph that shows this data.
