Design and build a circuit using a 556 timer IC to create an output waveform with the following characteristics: Positive Duty Cycle: 80% (+/-5%) Frequency: 20Hz (+/-2Hz) You are not to use your arduino at all for this task, other than to provide power. You will need to draw a circuit diagram of your circuit design, ensuring that this diagram meets all circuit diagram standards. You will also need to show all calculations used to determine the values required above, and be able to explain how you arrived at the values used. During assessment, you will also be asked to use the digital storage oscilloscope to display the output waveform from your circuit to confirm that it meets the requirement. Your circuit should meet circuit building standards. Specifically we will be checking that your circuit has met the requirements for: • Wire colour standards o Red power Black ground o Blue/Yellow = Data to/from arduino Your circuit can be powered off the power supply, or the Arduino 5V pin. Assessment Instructions You will need to bring your drawn circuit diagram, calculations, built circuit, along with your electrical kit to the assessment session. You will be asked to hook up your circuit to the digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) to display the waveform at the output node of your timer along with the measurements for frequency and positive duty cycle.
