I hi the lectures this week you learned about clinal variation. Blood type, genotype, nose form, hair color, eye color, skin color - traits that are driven by natural selection, genetic drift, and gene ow. I Below is a set of 13 hypothetical balls, arranged here based on the shade and circumference. But notice there is a third variable, the number of traverse lines. Submissions: Word document, 12 point font, single spaced, 1/2 page min.,1 page max. * For this assignment, I want you to arrange these balls into two or three groups based on likeness. In a Word document, please 1) list the ball numbers assigned to each grouping, 2} describe the reasoning behind each of your groupings (like a taxonomist}, and 3} describe the difculties in creating those groups. This is purely an exercise in typological thinking and a simplistic example of clash between taxonomy and classication of clinal variation. There are no right or wrong answers. These are just three variables, imagine including the many other clinal biological traits among humans. And note that in this example, the anributes of size and shading co-vary. Imagine how much more variation would results from allowing them to vary independently, which is closer to the reality of humans
