I need a comment for the following Discussion Board Post
1. In my opinion, the manufacturing department most likely encounters the greatest number of ethical challenges. They are always faced with the pressure of assembling products to a certain liking. If the manufacturing department doesn't build something the correct way, they can run into major problems. The department can also run into supply issues which then will cause a delay in delivery. These examples can have major effects on a company, considering this is where all the money is coming from.
2. One example of unethical behavior is when I worked at Perkins Restaurant a few years back. One of the employees was openly drinking alcohol while cooking. Since everyone saw it, the manager found out and later fired him.
Another scene of unethical behavior is when I worked for Wegmans. One of the team leaders let her anger get the best of her and threw the company phone while screaming her lungs out. I found out a couple of weeks later that she was fired.
The last example of unethical behavior I have witnessed was also at Wegmans One of the employees that I actually worked with was reported for harassing and making sexual references towards women. I have not seen this behavior from the individual, but I would have reported the issue to HR instantly if I have. He was later fired by the company.
